You can go on these open top buses, that have different lines that can take you to the most "famous things".
I only had a day there, but i recommend seeing some of the Gaudi archetechture (he uses curves rather than straight lines so they are really distinctive). There are apartments (which i only saw the outside) but there is another house thats good to go into (can’t remember the name, but it has "fish scales" outside). The sangrade Familia (also designed by Gaudi) is something to see as well (its actually still under construction and is the only cathredaral in the world to be so).

They were my highlights, also the markets on la rambala (main street) were good to nosy through…
tip. when people in the tourist shops offer you something, say no and they will often come down in price (i didn’t pay anything full price eg for fans, neclaces etc)
Also watch for pickpockets. This was the only place I nearly got sucked in. Woman work in pairs where one comes up and tries to pin a carnation on you, the other comes up behind so watch it!!! Just say no again and ignore them

I live 2 minutes from Almoradi and there are a few things to keep the kids entertained… You are only 20 minutes from the beach when in spain do as the spanish do take lunch and drinks in a cooler with u.
In quesada (a-7 towards Torrevieja Norte) there is an aqua park its the cheapest 1 around and not to big that the kids can just wonder off…
Also in quesada there is a bar where you can have a drink and relax but upstairs there is a play-area for kids (ball pit and soft equipment).
OK the drive to Barcelona might be quiet expensive as its about 550km from here to Barcelona. If you are coming back then it might be worth getting the train from San Isidro.
You will only be an hour from Benidorm and its well worth a trip to terra mitica, terra natura or the water park.

The Almoradi market on a saturday is worth going to, to get all you fruit and veg and prezzies for the kids to take back…

In San isidro (take exit 733 off A7 follow signs) there is a fresh water pool that you pay a few €s for the day.

If you want to live as a local person, approx €150. If you want to live as a tourist, up to €500.

try st tomas in menorca.lovely beaches & nice beach bars.been there with grandkids of 6 & 4.they loved it.no morons or prats anywhere.very flat if you have pushchairs too.

rent an apartment as apposed to staying in a hotel and buy local produce to cook. the fruit and veg is very fresh. buy from locals rathers than the pakistani’s even though they maybe cheaper as they do not keep the spanish tranditions of closing for siesta and sundays.

there are lots of natural parks to walk through in spain and some are really beautiful.

Absolutely NOT!!!

All are great, and have their wonders of history, culture, and art, literature, architecture…OMG. Send me back! (I’d take a trip to any of your four countries, but Spain is ALWAYS first on my list!)

BORING? SPAIN? Not on its worst day!

i agree with you, the British public are awful to go on holiday with. They act like animals. loud mouthed and insolent. They think that everyone except themselves are foreigners and treat them with disdain. thius does not of course apply to all British but a vast majority of them
