Menorca is a small island situated in the Mediterranean Sea and belongs to Spain. It is extremely popular with families staying in self catering apartments and luxury holiday villas with swimming pools. It is an ideal holiday destination with its breathtaking sceneries, beautiful beaches and warm climate.
Many families come to Menorca and stay in self catering accommodation which they rent direct from the holiday home owner. It is also known by the name Minorca in Spanish and in Catalan. Menorca is exceptionally known for its large collection of megalithic stone monuments. The island has a rich history of foreign authority. There are a variety of things to do whilst holidaying in Menorca.
Mahon is one of the largest museums and has details of the Minorca’s archaeological past. It has the biggest collection of fine arts on the island and is located in the former monastery. There is also availability of maps and engravings which date back to the 17th and the 19th century in the Hernandez Sanz Mora museum. The things to do while on holiday in Menorca are abundant and include adventurous sports like horse riding, donkey safaris and pony trekking. Other popular sports include basketball, tennis and football or tourists can relax in the swimming pool of their luxury holiday villa.
Menorca is renowned for its fantastic night life. Mahon is the capital of the island where you will find Anden Poniente, it is situated close to the port. Here, you will find numerous bars and restaurants.

Shopping is a must whilst staying in a luxury villa or apartment in Menorca, there is plenty of choice and the quality is of a very high standard especially in Ciutadella and Mahon. Here, you can really enjoy yourself and shop for leather goods and footwear, which are of a better quality and price than anywhere else in Europe. Ciutadella and Mahon also have some excellent villas and self catering apartments available to rent direct from the holiday home owners.
For those families staying in holiday villas with swimming pools with children there are lots of exciting and fun filled activities for them to do whilst on holiday in Menorca. The donkey rides prove to be extremely popular year after year. Go-carting is also available for children and for adults, children under 8 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

i agree with you, the British public are awful to go on holiday with. They act like animals. loud mouthed and insolent. They think that everyone except themselves are foreigners and treat them with disdain. thius does not of course apply to all British but a vast majority of them

try st tomas in menorca.lovely beaches & nice beach bars.been there with grandkids of 6 & 4.they loved it.no morons or prats anywhere.very flat if you have pushchairs too.
